
Stockholm, Sweden – April 24, 2025: TERASi announced the development of highly compact waveguide filters designed for E-band (71-86 GHz) communications, continuing with its commitment to technological innovation. Leveraging TERASi’s Aircore™ technology platform, this microscopic filter is 40 times smaller than existing alternatives, while maintaining industry leading performance. This announcement comes on the heels of a recent success with the wafer-scale Aircore™ packaging technology powering the World’s Biggest 6G Antenna, further solidifying TERASi’s position in the development of next-generation communication technologies.
Waveguide filters are essential for ensuring signal clarity by preserving signal integrity and blocking unwanted frequencies that can cause interference. The advanced filters are designed for very sharp roll-off and high rejection, however with TERASi’s Aircore™ technology, they achieve an insertion loss of lower than 0.4 dB, which maximizes the link signal-to-noise ratio. Additionally, the filter's sharp cutoff and high out-of-band rejection enhance overall link performance, ensuring reliable and efficient communication.

Manufactured at TERASi’s facilities in Stockholm, Sweden, these ultra-light filters are over 100 times smaller than conventional solutions. TERASi’s wafer-scale Aircore™ platform replaces manual processes with a fully automated solution ideal for high-volume manufacturing.
The microscopic waveguide filters are part of a larger initiative. The recent reveal of TERASi’s advanced System-in-Package (SiP) solution for mm-wave front-end modules, powered by Aircore™ 's superior performance, drives the complete RF front-ends. This establishes the groundwork for sophisticated, integrated modules for upcoming communication and sensing technologies.
